You can see from our range that we have a selection of shells in colors and sizes to choose from and we do try to match what you already have. Shell Earrings
Shells are commonly referred to as jewels of the sea as they were often used as an early form of jewellery, especially as simple necklaces. Some shell necklaces have even been dated back to 7000 BC (the Stone Age). I work very carefully to bring pieces together to make sets of beautiful earrings. I hope you can appreciate my shell earrings as much as I do. Enjoy the beauty of these stunning shells as earrings too. Each pair has been individually crafted with love and care. A creature of the sea has fashioned its own unique home so no two are ever identical. The shepherd hooks come in either dark silver, bright silver or rose gold.
Myadora Earrings and Necklaces
This is my signature design. It was the first shell I ever picked up and I just knew it needed to be crafted into something special. The species is known as Myadora (hence the name) which has very ancient origins. The shell is exactly as it is found. The only attention I give the shell is a very thin layer of varnish to deepen the natural colour. The beautiful shine is totally natural and results from the constant weathering from the pounding surf. It is usually found at very low tide, only revealing itself for a short time. As you wear it, you can feel the energy of the ocean and I feel it symbolises resilience and independence. I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I do.
Shell Necklaces
All of my shell necklaces come on an adjustable double knot black cord and can be adjusted to alter the length. Each necklace starts as a humble shell and is fashioned to become a unique piece. Shells are both beautiful and versatile and are celebrated all over the World by many different cultures. The shape of a simple scallop shell has been tied to Venus the goddess of Love. The most famous depiction of the scallop shell is seen in the painting of the Birth of Venus by Boticelli. Every one of my shell necklaces is a unique piece and one of a kind.
